Green Shoots is a Social Firm set up to offer training and employment opportunities to young people who face disadvantage and barriers to employment. Set up in response to growing demand, Green Shoots provides buffets and sandwich deliveries to businesses and organisations across Cardiff.
We believe in sourcing fair-trade and local produce, with many of our vegetables supplied by our organically certified project in the Vale of Glamorgan. We also try to minimise our impact on the environment by, for example, supplying recycled or reusable plates and cutlery to reduce waste to landfill from our business.
We pride ourselves on providing a flexible and creative menu catering for all tastes and requirements, with only the best quality ingredients. We wish to offer a bespoke, responsive service, so please get in touch and we will do all we can to help!

Based at our busy Café in Tremorfa Day Centre, Green Shoots provides a stimulating atmosphere with ample opportunity for interaction with the public, and soft skill development. There is also the opportunity to achieve formal qualifications linked to training through OCN accreditation. As with all our training opportunities, personal development is planned with each trainee based on their interests, skills and aspirations which identifies training needs and development areas along with career goals that they wish to work towards. Our mentoring scheme offers continual support to the individual and bridges the gaps between services ensuring a smooth progression to the next stage of that person’s career progression.
