Supporting one of the principal student volunteering organisations in the country Student Volunteering Cardiff (SVC), Innovate Trust’s volunteering project continues to enhance the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable members of the local community.
During the 1960’s, through giving friendship and support, students of Cardiff University enabled adults with learning disabilities to access their wider community.
This innovative approach continues today, the increasing expansion of projects over the years has meant SVC now runs over 35 projects benefiting children, young people and adults.
The projects are all in areas where there is a need for support, with several projects operating under the overarching banners of Education, Children & Young People, Mental Health, Older People, Homelessness, Environment and Learning Disabilities.
